High School Musical Dolls are still hot sellers on Amazon

High School Musical Dolls are still hot sellers on Amazon

Probably not, but even though the drums have fallen silent and the basketball championship is over, High School Musical’s fans still keep the memory alive. And for little girls, that means reliving the epic cable TV Movie series with Mattel’s High School Musical 3 Prom Sharpay and Zeke Dolls. But come on, Sharpay isn’t into Zeke, she’s in love with herself right? But you can’t take yourself to the prom, and Ryan, well, he’s totally into that cute little girl who wears glasses and plays the piano. And since Troy’s taking Gabby, well, Zeke it is then. I gotta stop watching Disney Channel.

Matchbox catches Moon Fever

by James on July 3, 2009

The Matchbox Galactic Rover gives kids lunar and launch fever.

The Matchbox Galactic Rover gives kids lunar and launch fever.

Matchbox is making rocketry cool for little kids with the Mega Rig Galactic Rover. For about $10 US (on sale), this toy can be a rover that roams the lunar surface collecting rocks and looking for helium 3, and then - with a stomp of the foot, launch a cargo rocket skyward. Now that’s very cool.

The rover has six wheels and the stomp rocket can carry a tiny payload inside. But what’s really cool is that the Galactiic Rover is completely motorized and can break down into smaller rovers as well as a mission shuttle, which presumably coasts high above (at least in our imagination). And the motor that runs the Rover also powers the shuttle configuration as well.

Perfect for ages 4-12, and when it comes to hooking kids on spaceflight, you gotta get em young.

Once kids begin to grow out of Lego’s, they become interested in more challenging aspects - if they’re scientifically inclined that is. And with the blockbuster Transformer films creating even more interest in beings of a robotic nature, kids are sure to want to learn how they tick. Mindstorms is one way to get them interested, but they can be rather advanced if your kids are under 10. is a great entry level kit which helps kids take their first baby steps in the world of robotics.
