February 10th, LucasFilm and 20th Century Fox will be releasing the Star Wars: Episode 1 The Phantom Menance in 3D. Regardless of how you feel about JarJar Binks, or the Kid flying the starfighter, it should be a fun afternoon eating popcorn and ducking whenever a laser bolt comes your way. And if you’re wearing these cool, collectible 3D glasses AMC Theaters will be giving away, so much the better.

Sounds like a great sentiment doesn’t it? But when you’re in a band that makes millions a year in merchandise, CD sales, and concert tickets, that sentiment amounts to more of a line item in a ledger than an actual concept.
