New Wave Nigel

His name is New Wave Nigel, and he’s the center of a lawsuit by punk rock group DEVO over the depiction of what they call a copyrighted costume device which is depicted on the top of New Wave Nigel’s head. New Wave Nigel is a Happy Meal Toy and was part of the American Idol Happy Meal toy collection which also featured Disco Dave, Country Clay, Rockin’ Riley and Soulful Selma. Nigel’s costume includes an orange jumpsuit, pink shades, and, the center of Devo’s complaint … their copyrighted “energy dome” hat. Devo also complains that Nigel plays a tune that sounds way too close to the kind of music they make.

R/C Tank 1

When I was a kid, my brother and I spent and entire year building military themed models and saved our money to buy tons of army men and fireworks. Then, on the 4th of July, we had one of the greatest all out toy battles in military toy history. But it would’ve been even greater if we had this M1 Abramss R/C Shooting Tank for heavy armor support.

Star Wars Pez

We all know that when it comes to marketing merchandise based on the hit film series, the operating slogan at Lucasfilm isn’t “I’ve got a bad feeling about this,” it’s “if you build it, they will buy.” And Giant Star Wars Pez dispensers are no exception.
