It seems as if Nerf is going for the budding military fanbase by releasing the Nerf Vulcan EBF-25 blaster. Kids will surely love getting in touch with their inner Rambo and drawing first blood.
A fully automatic, belt fed, toy dart gun, the Vulcan blaster is powered by 6 D batteries and fires up to 25 belt-fed Nerf darts in fully automatic function (is that legal?). It comes with a a fold-up tripod to minimize the kick and improve aim. Accessories includes a night vision Tactical Light accessory (sold separately) which gives kids that “star light” green image feel of covert nighttime raids. One thing that dads may want to do, however, to give their kids a leg up (as if a full auto machine dart gun isn’t advantage enough) is to mod the Tactical Rail System to provide a tighter air seal with the darts like this kid did with his nerf machine pistol.
For kids ages 6 years & up who have moms who don’t mind.
Price: $39.99, and will be available: Fall 2008
Man! Where was cool stuff like this when I was a kid! All I got was a stinkin’ Nerf football!
