Dueling Space Marines is more than just a fun RC helicopter, players can actually do some serious laser-like battle. And the result isn’t just a red light with a whirring sound like Buzz Lightyear’s. Getting hits can actually shoot down your opponents.
Here’s how it works. In addition a red light, each marine chopper is equipped with an infra red sensor. When one marine is hit, they begin to spin out of control. If a second hit scores before the r/c pilot can regain control, the stricken marine begins to lose power. And a third strike will cause the engine to cut out completely, sending the space marine plummeting to it’s doom. There are three separate channels so that there’s no cross talk to confuse the helicopter in flight or to allow your opponent to take control of yoru Space Marine and cause it to turn on its master. In fact, once the R/C channel is chosen, it automatically locks itself to the first channel it receives a signal from.
With bodies constructed from durable EPP foam, Dueling Space Marines coems with realistic space blaster sound, full flight controls, internal batteries for a mximum 7 minute flight on a 15 minute charge, and extra tail rotors, just in case.
Cost is $50 for the pair and is intended for indoor use. Outdoor flying is okay, just under zero wind conditions.
