Hotels Letting Guests Shred with Rock and Sports Video Games
When families go on that big road trip this summer, guests won’t have to fret about leaving their favorite Guitar Hero games at home. Seeing a good trend as a means to lure customers, many hotels are now featuring Guitar Hero and Rock Band for guests to play while they’re checked in.
Hotels like the Monaco in Seattle are veering away from cheesy karaoke music in the bars and have begun offering Guitar Hero and Rock Band instead. These Guitar Hero nights give customers the same social interaction and performance fantasy as Karaoke, but with the added Rock God element to make any head banger proud. And others like the Hotel Sax are wiring Xbox Live local networks for guests to bang away in their rooms. In addition, there are similar hotels that are thinking more sports minded and bringing Wii Sports out for guests to interact in a more competitive atmosphere.
What’s next? World of Warcraft nights where guests can check in and wreak havoc for the weekend?
