Wooba is just in time for next Summer …

Wooba 1

Wooba is a fun toy that comes just as it’s starting to heat up around town. While kids are starting to wear shorts and think about playing more outside (if their parents can drag them away from the Xbox), many toys are coming out that will hopefully entice them to get some exercise and enjoy some water play at the same time. One such item is the WOOBA. And it’s kinda like skipping stones off the water and playing catch at the same time.

Invented, Jan Von Heland, the Wooba’s lycra and polyurethane coating makes it soft and kooshy to catch, while giving it the skipping ability it needs to make a game of catch more interesting. And what’s really great about it is that thanks to that soft construction, kids under 10 can use it to practice catching and hand eye coordination without worrying about getting hurt. And because it’s meant to play in the water, kids can also indulge in that all too classic “diving catch” fantasy and impress those wearing bikini’s who are watch with rapt attention.

Because it’s now summer Down Under, the Wooba has become a kind of phenomenon in Australia and should catch on world wide, especially since it has an $8.00 price tag.

Unfortunately, it won’t be available here in the States until probably Christmas. Oh well, there’s always next summer!
