A whole bunch of Batman electronic gadgets coming …
Digital Blue has created some really cool tech toys for fans of various entertainment properties. Disney is one such fan who has had a long standing relationship to create such cool gadgets as the Disney MixMatch mp3 player (with skins for Pirates of the Caribbean, Hanna Montana, the Cheetah Girls and Cars), to their digital camera and even a hand held kid camcorder. Now Digital Blue is branching out into the Warner Brothers universe announcing gadgets for the Bat in all of us …
Timed specifically to build off the release of the upcoming Batman film THE DARK KNIGHT, there’s an amazing line of Batman-inspired gadgets coming out which include the Batman Clipt! Digital Camera (a clip-on beltloop design which lets kids bring a camera wherever they go and have it within finger reach), a Batman Alarm Clock Radio with cool BAT SIGNAL display on the wall, and the Batman Boombox.
The camera is fairly low tech, giving kids up to 40 VGA quality snapshots. What’s really cool, though is that even though the quality of the images won’t get past 4×6s, kids can use the included software to place their images into scenes from the movie. That’ll really make it worth the $20 pricetag.
In addition to it’s bat signal, the alarm also comes with an AM/FM tuner, an auto daylight saving switch, and a 1.4” display. And again, for $20, the bat signal alone is worth getting it to wake you up in the morning.
The Boombox will play both commercial and burned CDs, have a radio tuner, dynamic bass boost, and an input line for portable MP3 player support. Cost is a tad more at $29.99.
