Lego lets fans choose the next Star Wars set
Well, its election season and Lego currently has a campaign over their own going on in association with Toys R Us. Over at www.Toysrus.com/LegoStarWars, Lego fans can choose the next Lego set to exclusively released. The vote runs through May 18 at 11:59 pm and fans can choose from one of three classic Star Wars scenes to become the next LEGO set.
The choices are:
The Arrest of Chancellor Palpatine: where Mace Windu, Kit Fisto and two other Jedi masters arrive at the leaders office to force the removal of the chancellor from his unlimited power and are surprised to find he’s more than he’s pretended to be;
Slave 1 and the Cloud City landing platform: Bounty Hundter Boba Fett takes custody of Han Solo frozen in carbonite and loads him into the cargo bay of the infamous Slave One for his journey back to the evil gangster Jabba the Hutt who has a reward out on Solo’s head so large every bounty hunter in the galaxy is hunting for him;
and The Mon Calamari Cruiser set: where Admiral Ackbar, leader of the rebel fleet, controls the battle from his flagship Home One. The Flagship’s hangars are equipped with A-Wings adn other Rebel vehicles.
Results will be released in February 2009, and the winning Lego set will be exclusively available at all Toys”R”Us stores nationwide and online at www.Toysrus.com in the fall of 2009. Just in time for Christmas.
