Shredding Wirlessly with QMotion BigAir
What’s missing from the pure Tony Hawk video game fantasy is a cool input peripheral. Sure, there’s been several on the market that give you a half way experience. But what’s seriously needed is to make one that’s wireless so that skater/gamers can really cut loose. That would be off the hook. Well, QMotion, is promising that users will get some serious BigAir with … well, BigAir! And it’s all thanks to Tony Hawk who did some serious lobbying to bring the idea to reality. And now, it also has Redmond’s seal of approval.
The controller is a full sized skate board that works with skateboard games currently on the market. It looks just like a skate board, but without wheels. Underneath is a small motion box which translates and transmits user movement on the skateboard to digital signals that can be picked up wirelessly by a video console – namely, the Xbox 360.
“This is a milestone event for our company that now enables us to design, develop and market a unique range of wireless products, bringing the excitement of action gaming to a whole new level on the Xbox 360 system,” said Amro Albanna, chairman and CEO of Actiga. “We are excited to have been chosen as a Microsoft partner, particularly at this early stage of technology development where the award of Microsoft’s wireless accessory agreement continues to position us at the cutting edge of technology.”
No word on price points just yet, but the QMotion Big Air should be out just in time for Christmas, which means SNOWBOARD GAMES!
