Skateboard Shredders goin’ green

Electric Skateboard

As if skateboards weren’t green enough, there’s now an electric skateboard that can go up to 19 miles an hour in about 4 seconds from a dead start without kicking, pushing or any other physical attempt to get it going. Jeepers, where’s the fun in that?

The Pro Module 600 Electric Skateboard is battery powered and uses a cool wireless hand controller to get ‘er going. What’s cool is that this could actually be a great way for beginners to become used to travelling on a board without crashing in the beginning be messing up the push off to stance balancing act.

Hot Dog freestylers will also enjoy the Pro Module 600s flat out speed, which will allow them to maintain speed for a wide variety of tricks at skateparks. But the real plus is that kids can now haul flat out on the road without having to ask mom and dad take them to the skateboard park or mall.

The range of the PM600 is about 8-12 miles on a four hour charge which supplies power to it’s 600 watt, 36 volt motor.

Price is a hefty $470. Cowabunga!

That has a fast get up and go… 4 seconds to 19 mph? I can’t imagine needing to go any faster than that on a skateboard.
