Dr. Who vs. the Master Sonic Screwdriver game

Dr Who Sonic Screwdriver Battle

Dr. Who is one of the longest running and coolest Sci-fi TV series ever (after Star Trek, Stargate and BSG, of course). So, it only makes sense that super cool toys based on the character of The Doctor would surface for kids to live the fantasy.

And this one, lets kids relive the epic battle from last season where Dr. Who took on The Master. A pair of Sonic screwdrivers keeps score of each player’s “lives” through a series of lights. The idea is to turn off your opponents lights while keeping your own on. Whenever a hit is scored a hit sound effect is played and one power LED goes out. When the last light goes out on your screwdriver the other player has won.

Target practice mode is also available for either screwdriver through the “Toclafane Sphere Target Counter.” Both sonics feature light and sound effects and new LED counters to register ‘hits’ from the opposing weapon.

Sounds like a lot of fun, but at just under $60 US it isn’t cheap. Still, it sounds like a real fun game for kids even if they aren’t fans of the Sci-Fi series.
