Underwater Pogo Stick for pool play

Under water pogo

Our sister site Coolest Gadgets has the skinny on an underwater Pogo Stick for some submarine pool play. The idea is that you can use the stick to do all sorts of underwater stunts. It can do this since the ball shaped ABS plastic bottom can keep the pogo pilot submerged without adding any weight to the unit itself. Then, along with the non-slip footpads the Underwater Pogo Stick can be pushed off the sides or bottom of the pool and move around underwater doing all sorts of pogo-y things. But I have one question …

Can’t you just do all that with your legs? You can push off the floor or the sides and can jump up and down in shallow water splashing like a crazy person and having just as much fun. And you certainly don’t need to pony up $60 US to boot.
So, like the underwater skateboard before it, we’re left scratching our collective heads and wondering what makers of such stuff were thinking.
