Hasbro goes Star Wars Crazy at ComiCon
Hasbro introduced tons of new Star Wars Toys at last weekend’s ComiCon convention in San Diego, most of which incorporate minor characters from the films and even characters from the expanded universe.
Included in the exclusives were:
Jodo Kast – Another dreaded Mandalorian bounty hunter who has worked for both the Empire and the New Republic. He’s often mistaken for Bobba Fett, a mistake he makes full advantage of.
Rogue Squadron Pilots Nrin Vakil and Ibtisam. Taken from the Rogue Squadron paperback book series by Michael Stackpole and others, these loyal rebel pilots fight to preserve the fledgling New Republic from Imperial Warlords bent on returning to an Empire under their ruthless command.
“The Cart” – you remember them. The little rectangle go karts which transported man and material to their XWings in time for the climatic battle scene in A New Hope? Hey, you gotta move stuff, right?
Millennium Falcon passengers Luke, Obi Wan, C3PO and R2D2 – is there anything new here? Not in the least, but they fit perfectly in the new Millenium Falcon toy we reported on last month.
The Pit of Sarlaac – things don’t look good for Bobba Fett. As the battle to free Luke and Han wages above, the bounty hunter meets his thousand year demise courtesy of dreaded sand creature with tenticles a mile long. (note, this one is actually a Target exclusive which will sell for about $60 come November).
