bouncing pony

The Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Smart Bounce & Spin Pony reminds me of those fun little spring powered numbers you see in neighborhood parks, only it does a heck of a lot more. In addition to bouncing backwards and forwards, it gives children up to 3 years a spin capability and can be used to control educational video games. So, it’s not only a ride-on pony toy, but a video controller interface. That’s very cool.

The 3 level game features fun sing-along songs, but also teaches children to interact with the animated features by bouncing on the pony and turning the drum on the pony’s handle. Level 1 teaches your toddler about action and reaction. For example, in level 1 of the “Colorful Home” game, a puppy appears on the screen and simply makes motions whenever the pony bounces.
Level 2 introduces letters, shapes, numbers, and colors, and level 3 allows children to “count along,” and explores concepts like opposites and spelling. And what’s great is that the child learns to control the action herself by pressing arrow buttons on the pony’s handle. Again, action and reaction.

But if the child just wants to bound around, the pony’s “stand alone mode” will play its own music while the child bounces and spins.

For ages 1-3. Cost is a very affordable $65.00
