Every kid has had his battle ship sunk. It’s almost a rite of passage. Yes, we’re talking Battleship, the classic double blind strategy game where players secretly deploy a fleet of ships onto their peg board and then try to sink their opponents fleet by calling out grid numbers and charting hits and misses. The winner is the one who sinks his opponents fleet, but can win instantly if they send the battleship to the briny deep of Davey Jones locker. Recently, this classic game has gotten a digital overhaul with electronic Battleship, where players digitally plot and attack, and enjoying sound effects which add extra drama and fun to the game. Now, Hasbro is going to a galaxy far, far away with STAR WARS ELECTRONIC BATTLESHIP.
Based on the epic Lucas saga, Star Wars Electronic Battleship pits with six different Imperial and six Republic ships all set to battle it out in one of four different interstellar war games. As the battle progresses, players can enjoy fun sound effects like digitized voice commands, ion cannons, concussion missiles, and proton torpedoes which signal your salvo. And what’s really cool is that players don’t have to have a partner to get their Star Wars one. They can play against the computer as well.
