There’s a delightfully juicy little rumor floating around the toy world today that video game developer Travellers Tales – authors of such fun Lego video games as Lego Star Wars, Lego Indiana Jones and the upcoming Lego Harry Potter, may be working on a new Lego video game for Electronic Arts which will seriously turn the video game/toy world upside down – LEGO ROCK BAND. Really? Man, talk about dog and cats living together.
But if you think about it, it’s a great idea even if it’s only an unfounded rumor. But game blogs like VG247 insist it’s a legit story. Parents who aren’t exactly thrilled with some of the song choices offered by the current Rock Band versions, could embrace a kitschier version (and who knows, maybe it’ll have Wiggles tunes!). And since it would teach such skills as hand eye coordination as well as how to strut around stage like a lego version of Mic Jagger, what could be funner? Frankly, as a parent who enjoys playing Lego video games with his son, this would be an excellent way for parents and rug rats to rock out together.
So, let’s raise our Lego Fist of Rock, everyone, and hope that this story is true!
