Backyard Safari Time Capsules spark imagination and memories

Time Capsule

A time capsule. A great way to capture moments in history for future generations to learn from. Tulsa, Oklahoma placed a 58 Ford Farlane into a time capsule with numerous keepsakes from the 50s inside. Fifty years later, city organizers found a rusting hulk that had fallen victim to leaking ground water. But time capsules are still a great idea to teach kids not only history, but the culture of how people lived, not just when. So, Backyard Safari’s Time Capsule can be a great way to remind kids when they’re much older, how they lived as kids and give them an appreciation of history at the same time.

Made out of sturdy, and leakproof, pvc plastic, the Safari Time capsule has a twist top that is disguised as a rock so as to blend in with the local flora and fauna. This also gives the child the added benefit of adding anything from baseball cards to action figures to the time capsule as time goes on, creating an ongoing archive of his life, his interests, etc. There’s also a series of turn wheels which are numbered to correspond with a modern calendar so as to inter the date when the time capsule was laid to rest.

And for a paltry $20, you can’t go wrong. Unless, of course, it isn’t as waterproof as we think.
