Weekend warriors love to play solider with paintball guns. Gas powered firearms which fire paint filled projectiles to simulate bullet hits. It’s the modern day adult version of capture the flag. The Wipeout chalk dust pistol small cartridges filled with up to 30 foam based “chalk darts,” the cartridges are about the size of a nerf or airsoft dart and are fired by a mechanical spring loaded mechanism, rather than a gas cartridge. So, sadly, the range of these chalk rounds is fairly limited. The chalk tipped darts will make a mark denoting a hit, but are easier to clean than paint, which will make mom very happy. Safety glasses are still recommended, however, as chalk in the eye could be equally as painful and damaging as pigment based water paint. But because the projectile itself is made of foam, impact won’t cause the kind of bruising trauma that a gas propelled paintball can cause. And because the dart is more streamlined, accuracy is bound to be improved, even if range is reduced.
