Dangerous Kits

Following on the heals of the phenomenally successful book THE DANGEROUS BOOK FOR BOYS (which is seriously one of the most awesome books a father can ever buy for his son and then read and play with him) comes a series of educational science kits which promise to teach kids all about the principles of science in the same fun and imaginative fashion that the book itself offers. Dangerous? Quite literally. But, we like it that way.

The Dangerous Book for Boys Lab series includes kits studying Electricity, Gravity, Pocket Science, and more. There’s even a kit which teaches kids to make a trebuchet siege engine. We’re talking serious awesomeness here. With experiments ranging from constructing a simple battery, changing the color of flowers chemically, making a volcano, building a parachute, creating bouncy balls using chemistry, magnetizing common objects, and a host of other really science experiments that any kid can do and most, which are in the original book. Now, can these same things be found online and created for free? Sure. But for parents who aren’t in touch with their inner Einstein or who simply don’t have that science gene, these kits are a great way to get kids interested in more than just video games and TV.
