Gamegun mod makes FPS games extremely realistic

Fans of first person shooter video games will have to check out this mod by a shooting game fan who took an LCD screen and married it to a toy gun with a gyro-mouse and a few other accouterments. The result is a really cool gaming interface that is more simulator than gaming device.

Called the PC VR Gamegun, gun has a 7″ widescreen LCD that’s built right into the aiming sight line, three triggers, windows mouse emulation, high resolution and three screen modes including full, widescreen, and normal. There’s also built in keyboard buuttons and wireless remote capability. Plugs in with standard RCA composite video as well as universal plug n’ play USB.

And his new version has completely gone wireless, giving shooters way more freedom to roam the room as far as the wireless signal will take them.

Now this is a game mod, so it isn’t for sale anywhere, but the modder seems to want to move in that direction by his sales pitch. Here’s hoping the big names pick up his idea and reward him handsomely for it. The result may be a win win for all of us.
