There are enough toy announcements at ComiCon, that you’d think it was a toy faire, rather than a ComiCon book convention. And Transformers was there talking about the successful franchise, there was no word on another blockbuster film. But there will be several new toys/characters released in the near future.

The toys include a third “Acree” vehicle named “Flare-up,” which, although is similar in design to the other two, will not combine with them.

Next comes a re-release of some original Transformer toys – numbered and exclusive to Japan. These include Bruticus, a Decepticon “combiner,” which is comprised of give smaller Decepticons. There’s also a new Wal-Mart exclusive, including one from the Revenge of the Fallen line named Masterpiece Skywarp.

Through next year, there will also be additions including a “drone Jet” named Skystalker, a rocket launcher named Scattershot, and a redesign of a Transformer’s Animated toy called Lockdown – made to fit into the “… Fallen” universe..

There are several others and clearly, the future fits quite well for the Transformer’s universe.
