Lego releases yet another Millennium Falcon

Lego is no stranger to the Millennium Falcon. Not long ago, they released a kit costing nearly $500. But face it, even the most faithful couldn’t afford such a price tag and Luke was heard to say “we almost buy our own ship for that.” So it looks like Lego has heard the news and scaled down the price, and the size of the kit, to court more sales.

The mid-scale Falcon has 356 pieces (as opposed to the over 5,000 pieces of the previous Han Solo hot rod), and measures about 9×6x3 inches when fully assembled. Movie-authentic details include a rotating radar dish and movable laser cannons above and below.

And since it has about 7% as many pieces as the full size Falcon, it shouldn’t take more than an hour to assemble, and you won’t need an engineering degree to do it either, or a bank loan to purchase it!

Cost is about $50 US. Ages 7-14.
