Logitech's new Wireless GH controller for the XB360

Wireless controllers are nothing new, especially for Guitar Hero. But Logitech – the maker of high quality third party computer and media peripherals, has gotten on the bandwagon (quite literally) with this wireless controller for Guitar Hero which plays on Activision’s Guitar Hero game for both XBox 360 and PS 3. But that isn’t all, they’ve also turned the beat around with a Wireless Drum Controller to boot.

The cool thing about the Logitech Guitar is that it can also be played as a real instrument, with capability to strings and engage the built in pickups. And it also has the same realistic weight as the Fender Guitar it’s design is based on.

The Wireless drum controller promises up to 50 hours of continuous playing.

The Drum controller will have fully adjustable drum heads and cymbals, and special padding which reduces noise and still registers the necessary drum hits. Playtime on the Drum controller promises up to 50 hours of continuous play on two AAs. I’ll believe that when I see it, but even at three times as many batteries, it would be a must have for any GH fan.

The Guitar runs about $200 for the XBox controller with the Drum Controller hovering just north of that price at $230. Both go on sale later this month (although the PS3 version of the guitar has already been released).
