These one of a kind Star Wars toys will be auctioned off for charity courtesy of Lucasfilm and Mighty Muggs.
With the help of Lucasfilm, The Make a Wish Foundation will be auctioning off one of a kind “Mighty Muggs” toys based on the characters from Star Wars. The toys, will be created by popular artists, comic book creators, toy designers and even celebrity fans and will be made from blank Mighty Muggs toys donated by Hasbro Corporation.
Think of it as a similar Star Wars Vader Project which, before the last Star Wars film, Darth Vader helmets were customized into an artistic collection that toured the country. Only this time, it represents a very cool way to raise money for a very worthy cause.
Mighty Muggs have been based on Star Wars and Indiana Jones characters so it makes sense to use the Muggs design as it’s design base. As Star Wars Artist Nicole Falk says, “Mighty Muggs has this wonderful humor to them, which … makes them appealing to so many different fans, kids to adults.”
The final collection will be on display at international San Diego Comic Con with each piece being auctioned off online. For more information, head on over to StarWars.Com for details on how you can get one of these one of a kind collectibles, and help a kid “make a wish” at the same time.
