I’ll be honest. I can’t stand exclusives. I don’t like them because they aren’t for kids, they’re for collectors. And toys are meant to be played with. Period. If you have a cool collection of toys, hey fine. But to keep something in a box to improve it’s value? Well, let’s just say we all know how that worked out in Toy Story 2 and it wasn’t pretty.
Still, I gotta job to do, so here’s the latest exclusives that have found their way to Toys R Us ….
1) Battlestar Galactica Action Figures Series 4
This new pack includes a host of cool action figs from the last episode of the epic Syfy series. They include: Cylon Boomer (aka Caprica Eight) dressed in white, Apollo in his off duty fatigues, and an utterly badass Cyclon Centurion with a red stripe (which was meant to help tell the “good” centurions from the “bad” in a firefight).
Additionally, another cool action figure set includes Original Star Trek Characters from the “Mirror Mirror” universe including badass Spoke with a Van Dyke beard and Captain Kirk in his sleeveless vest uniform taking on Kang, the Klingon.
2) BSG Minimates #2
Keeping with the BSG theme, is this second round of Minimates. I’ll be the first to admit I don’t get minimates. They’re funny lookin’. Like someone made a toy out of a bunch of cylinders after watching a cheesy 80s music video. Still, they’re very popular and matching it with Galactica seems a natural. The Second series of Minimates duos includes a “Six” with Colonel Tigh turned Cylon with his eye patch, Chief Tyrol and Cylon Centurion packing heavy artillery, Athena, Tory Foster, Sam Anders and even the final Cylon, Ellen. There’s also Simon, and several other cool Cylon Centurions. If you’re a Minimates fan, this set is for you.
There’s also a series of BSG Mini vehicles which includes the Cylon Raider and a Viper Mark VII, the front line Colonial fighter.

3) Marvel Minimates, #4
Also from the Minimates world comes Marvel Heros including Wolverine, Spiderman, and several Marvel baddies including Vault Guard, X Factor Angel, and Warpath.
