RetroRocket - Officially the coolest ride on toy ever!
A couple of weeks ago, we dubbed the FA22 rider the coolest riding toy ever. Well, it’s reign was short lived as the Radio Flyer Retro Rocket beats it by a wide mile. I know I’ve said it before, sure, but come on, check out the fins on this bad boy!
As we alluded, the Retro Rocket is made by Radio Flyer – thus the trademarked fire engine red paint scheme, which means it’s sturdy and made in the good ole US of A. With a low center of gravity to give rug rats stability while learning to play with it, the Retro Rocket also comes with buttons on the handle bars which control lights and trigger rocket launching sounds and vibrations to simulate a rock launch and flying through space like Roger Ramjet.
This is one of those toys which makes me want to go find that Zoltan machine in “BIG” and wish I was a kid again. With a rider like this, who knows, I may have ended up doing the spacewalk building the ISS rather than talking about how cool the Retro Rocket Rider really is.
Did I mention it’s cool? Cost is around $70. Ages 2-4.
