New Zorro action figures coming ....
Out of the night,
When the full moon is bright,
Comes the horseman known as Zorro.

Zorro, Zorro, who makes the sign of the Z.
Growing up, I loved reruns of the old Disney Zorro serial. And then, when The Mask of Zorro came out starring Antonio Banderas, Anthony Hopkins, Catherine Zeta-Jones, I couldn’t wait. And while the second film was pretty much a dud, I’d love to see Don Alenjandro put on the mask again and ride his steed Toronado. But until then, we’ll just have to satisfy ourselves with Triad Toys new Zorro line of toys.
Speculation is rampant, but all seem to agree that Triad will release action figures from six to twelve inches tall, plus accessories. These will obviously include sword and his black appaloosa stallion “Toronado.” But outside of that, one can only speculate. And since the license makes no mention of Sony Pictures, which only had the movie rights to the Zorro franchise, this will probably be only Zorro as seen by the original rights holder, Zorro Productions. But so what?! Here’s hoping that the man in the mask will ride again and this is just a new beginning.
