Disney Imagineer creates interactive holiday lighting display with Guitar Hero.
Okay, this may perhaps be the greatest Holiday lighting display ever created. A Disney Imagineer (who else) created a stunning light display based on Eric Johnson’s “Cliffs of Dover.” But so what? Ever since that guy made the Wizards of Winter show with his Christmas lights, computer controlled lighting displays are a dime a dozen, right? Did we mention he tied it in with Guitar Hero for the Wii? Check out the video after the jump …
Pretty Awesome, huh? According to Ric Turner, the creator of this yuletide awesomeness, he found video of a perfect round of Guitar Hero with Cliff’s of Dover and was able to use that to program the light choreography using that, but the Guitar Hero section on the garage is pure GH, therefore, any mistakes made by the faux guitarist are for all the world to see.
Wow. Turning your house into a gigantic video game and Holiday lighting display not only shows off this former Imagineer’s talents, it makes you wonder why Disney let him get away. But one look on his son’s face tells it all – it’s fun being this guy’s kid! Especially during Christmas.
