The 10th Anniversary edition of Tickle Me Elmo is expected to be huge with Toddlers this holiday.
Looking at the list of hot toys for 2009, it seems like popular toys from years past are getting another shot at the yuletide limelight. From oldies but goodies like Tickle Me Elmo to the Furby, to the red hot gaming systems like the Nintendo Wii, toys for 2009 means Parents can expect to lay out a pretty penny to outfit their kids for Christmas morning.

Other hot toys expected to gain brisk sales this year include more Star Wars Lego sets, including the ARC170 Starfighter, the Roboraptor (a favorite last year as well), Thomas the Tank Engine’s Steam Along with Thomas Set, a classic Japanese favorite – the Tomagotchi, which returns with a screen twice as large as the original and five times the memory capacity for better graphics and games, and a wireless connection function to play with other Tamagotchi fans.
Walmart expects Cabbage Patch Dolls to make a return to the spotlight along with Tumble Time Tigger and the VTech Smiling TV learning system.
