Thanks to our friends at Brothers Brick, we have leaked images from the upcoming Harry Potter Lego sets to be released later this year in time for the Holidays. And it comes down to sport, travel and minifigs from the magical mind of JK Rowling.

The three images, featured courtesy of Figures.com, show Quidditch with Harry and Ginny Weasley minifigs, as well as what looks like some bad boys from Slytherin, Luna Lovegood’s Burrow (from the final movie/book Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows) along with a Luna minifig, and the quintessential Hogwart’s Express, the magical train which leaves London from Platform 9 3/4s.

The Quidditch set includes the three scoring rings, elevated viewstands, and minfigs complete with broomsticks and bludgers. Meanwhile, the 568 piece Burrow is a facade which features the interior of the Lovegood Home, where Harry learns the location of on of the Deathly Hallows. It includes furnishings, three stories, and a Luna Minifig complete with stereoscopic glasses.

Lastly, the Hogwarts Express, 646 pieces to show a complete three car train with locomotive, coal car and passenger car. It also includes what appears to be six or seven minifigs including Harry and Ginny.

All three Lego sets are timed to be released late in 2010 in time for the epic final chapter of the Harry Potter film series. In addition to the sets featured here, Hagwart’s Castle (which should be a behemoth of a set to put together) and Hagrid will also get his own cottage featured in a set called Hagrid’s Hut.

In other news, it appears that JKR and Warner Brothers are so happy with the Lego Harry Potter sets that they have extended the licensing arrangement with Lego which also includes more game sets, board games, and the upcoming Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4 Video game due out in the Spring.

These sets have now been released in the UK. Released on the 1st of October but most stores are low in stock. The best bet is to order online well in advance of Christmas. I found a blog post that gives info on where to buy Harry Potter Lego Sets in the UK
