RC Car is a battle robot in disguise and you know what that means

Transforming toys are all the rage now as toymakers try and capitalize on what my wife calls “the major testosteroniefest” that is Transformers. And it’s rather cool, if you think about it. Taking a toy and changing it into another toy. That’s two toys in one. So, now take a radio controlled car and transform it into a battlebot and you have the Radio Controlled Transforming Robot Car.

Man, Why, oh why didn’t we have that when I was a kid! All I got was slot cars! Here’s the awesomeness that is the RCTRC. It’s your basic radio controlled race car, but flick a button on the radio controller and the car, from the hood forward lift up ten inches off the ground to expose a spring loaded gattling gun that fires up to five suction cup darts machine gun style. Then it drops back down into car mode. Man, talk about a drive by shooting.

The car also does the typical R/C stuff, forward, backward, tight hairpin turns and 360 degree spins. Check out the video here.

Requires six AA batteries and one 9-volt battery. Ages 8 and up. Cost? Around $70 from Hammacher.

This is one cool toy. You must check out the video. I agree I didn’t get this sort of toy when I was a kid. Definitly some top notch RC toys out there.
