Pedalboard could be the first gear shifting skateboard...

While some kids love to shred on their skateboards, some actually use them for transportation. And when you use those four trucks for getting around town, being able to shift gears can help. Nicholas Sawyers Pedalboard answers the call.

Part bicycle, part skateboard, part snowboar, the pedal board gives kids ways to get around and keep up speed without having to push off the street every 20 feet. Not much in the description, but judging from the pictures, it seems the Pedalboard changes gears and picks up speed by rocking back and forth and using that force to propel itself.

Turning is accomplished snowboard style by shifting one’s weight from site to side.

Just in concept, but it could be a great option for those shredding thrillseekers looking for the XGames fantasy.

When and where can I get one? I saw a sketch of a tri-wheel version and am particualrly interested in that for stability on the streets while loaded down with a bag or backpak.
