Lowe’s Home Building Centers offers a great series of kid building workshops called the Lowe’s Build and Grow Event, where young kids can build their own wooden toys and learn some valuable skills. And it’s all free. And in July, they’re building UFO toys!
This wooden toy project provides each child with a free apron, goggles, a project themed patch, certification of merit, and the toy they build.
Parents interested in bringing their kids can head over to Lowe’s Build and Grow site and sign up. You will select which clinic to attend (and you can choose both) – this month is a cup and ball game and the aforementioned UFO toys, then select your local Lowe’s Store, and give them some basic information. Click Signup and your reservation is assured.
All that’s left is to show up at your local Lowe’s and watch your child learn how to build things. And how cool will it be when they hold up their toy and cry out “mommy, daddy, look what I built!”
