Minimates are so popular that there are several ComiCon exclusives to choose from.
In this chapter of our ComiCon exclusive toys coverage, we take a look at a toy that’s growing in popularity faster than the movies they’re based on are released … AFX MINIMATES.
First up is a great set of Ghostbusters 2 Slime Blowers Minimates which include G2 versions of Venkman and Spengler in their classic proton packs while Stantz and Zeddemore man the tubular Slime blower. The boxed set is $17 and limited to only 2,000.
Battle damaged IronMan suits are part of this exclusive Minimates set.
Next is the Iron Man 2 Battle Tactics Minimates set which includes IronMan in his Mark VI suit, War Machine, Tony Stark dressed in his racing best, and SHIELD director Nick Fury. Limited to only 2,000 boxed sets, these battle damaged babies will run you about $16.
More Marvel Minimate love comes in the form of the X-Force Boxed Set which includes DeadPool, Cable, Feral and Domino. Cost is $17. ComiCon attendees will also get a chance to have their box set signed by created Rob Liefeld on Friday and Saturday between 1:30-2:30pm.
Han Solo in Storm Trooper garb is another of AFX ComiCon exclusives.
Other exclusives available by AFX will include a Star Wars Clone Wars Commander Bly bust ($60, 1500 only) DC Zatana Tonner Doll ($175, 300 only), Star Wars Han Solo Trooper Maquette ($90, 400 only) and a Thundercats Lion-O statue ($60, 500 only).
