This Sonic Screwdriver was the go to gadget for the Second Doctor in the 70s. Now the toy version can be yours.
I love Doctor Who, and I’m sure many would agree with me that next to the light saber from Star Wars, every sci-fi geek would love a Sonic Screwdriver on their belt if they were actually real. Well, until that day comes, there’s always the toy version, especially this old school screwdriver from the third doctor series of that iconic British sci-fi import.
The third doctor was played by Jon Portwee in the early 70s the Doctor used this second incarnation of the famous screwdriver for opening doors, getting control of computers and controls, and even as a defense weapon. But his screwdriver also looked more like a microphone from Match Game.
Still, a screwdriver it was and this toy version comes complete with lights, sound effects and of course, sprint loaded sound activation. The tip can also spin upon activating making it even more geeky cool.
Cost is $30 from Entertainment Earth.
