Gamers great a motion controlled version of a classic game ....

The classic game Rockem Sockem Robots has taken a baby step into the 21st century thanks to a a fair of fans who have created a motion controlled version to knock the blocks off.

That’s right, now players can trick out their classic boxing game with a set of servos, circuit boards, and custom Texas Instruments accelerometers to create a version which follows the players shadow boxing until a block is knocked off. The design was part of Tis Co-Op Design Challenge, and looks like they did a great job with the motion control. Check out the video –

Thing I wanna know is, where’s the Wii or PS3 Motion version? Isn’t that supposed to be the future? Still, this sure looks like as much fun making as it is playing.
