Tonka XT Ricochet RC Trucks at Toy Fair
Toy Fair in New York has got some really great toys this year and chief on my list is the Tonka line of XT Ricochet RC Trucks.
There’s two different kinds … the Stunt Pro trick racer for serious outdoor R/C fun, and then there’s the more maneuverable, indoor Tricksters. The Stunt Pro is really cool because not only does it do great stunts, but it can record up to three routines and play them back perfectly every time, ending up in the same spot.
In addition, Tonka has redesigned the cars to make them easier to control for younger kids, without sacrificing the flip characteristic that makes them run capsized. Powered by a 9.6 NiMh rechargable battery and runs on a 2.4Ghz remote. Available this fall for about $80.
The Tricksters line are very similar, but smaller and great for indoor R/C fun on a rainy day. Built with pre-programmed stunts like flip, zig-zag and spin and launched by the Trick Trigger button on the controller. The controller also charges the built in internet batteries. The Richochet tricksters can flip over to run on both sides as well. Look for them this fall for about $25.
