Upcoming LEGO Build Events at Barnes and Noble

Every first Tuesday of the month at the LEGO store, there’s a free building event. Kids can line up and build a small monthly themed set (this month’s was a lawn mower for Father’s Day) and then bring it home. For FREE! But that’s not the only place you can build LEGO toys. Barnes and Noble has a series of events as well.
The events will be taking place throughout the month of June and will allow kids to build micro bricks and are designed to help the very young to work on their hand-eye coordination, critical thinking, and cognitive and spacial relationships. Older kids will also get the option of writing a short essay about the toys they create. The events include: LEGO Building Challenge, Let’s Build Legos, and LEGO Harry Potter.
The events are free to kids 4 and up, but Barnes and Noble requires pre-registration so they can be sure there are enough sets on hand for kids to build (nothing is worse than having to turn away a youngin’ because you ran out of stock). To register, go to this site and search via zip or city and state. And it’s probably a good idea to register sooner, rather than later since these kind of events always have a “while supplies last” out and are usually available in limited quantities. So make sure that even though you pre-register, you get there early just in case!
