Falcon Pool Playset

There are toys that I wish had been around when I was a kid. Toys like the Big Wheel, Lego Kits, Transformers. Sure, I had Lincoln Logs, Tinker Toys and real G.I. Joe toys with Kung Fu Grip but the toys that have been coming out over the last few years have really made me want to go back to being a kid just to play with them. Thankfully, I have a young one to live vicariously through because this Millenium Falcon Water Park pool is something I seriously want to play with. Made of durable PVC Vinyl, the Falcon measures 12′ x 14′ and is inflatable. It comes with a hose hookup for water blaster as well as two built-in slippery slides. Cost is about $80 US Shipping weight is 21 lbs.

Now the only thing left to decide is, who’s going to play Chewie and who’s going to be Han. Mom can be princess Leia.

Water powered Jet Car is really cool

Wednesday, July 16th, 2008

water jet car

Kudos to Edwin over at out sister blog, Coolest-Gadgets, for finding this really cool water powered jet car toy. It’s on board tank holds about 40 ounces of water and once it is pumped with enough air to launch it (about 50 pumps or 60 psi), the car can reach a maximum to scale speed of 272 miles an hour as it sprays a stream of water in its wake! Pushing down on the foot release pedal launches the car like a bullet from a gun.

Designed around the famed rocket cars which race the Bonneville Salt Flats for land speed records, the Water jet Propelled Road Rocket has a missile-shaped, vacuum formed PVC fuselage with dual airfoils that enable it to travel up to 150′ on a paved, level outdoor surface. It measures about 10 1/2″ H x 6 1/2″ W x 28″ L. and weighs about 7 pounds.

Includes an air pump with an integrated pressure gauge and two sheets of decals for customizing your racer. For ages 7 and up.

Cost – about $43 USD from Hammacher

To beat the summer heat, pop go the MiniFigs

MiniFig Popsicle\

In the dead heat of July, it’s certainly great to have a cool treat beat the summer heat. And if one can make those treats fun to boot, why not? We’ve already seen the cool Lego ice molds which allow for creating Lego bricks for your favorite refreshing beverage, but this Lego MiniFig LoliPop/Popciscle mold kicks the summer fun up to eleven. The mold makes three minifig popciscles and come with the equivalent plastic sticks which are reusable. With the summer heat beating down on every kid on the block, who wouldn’t say no to a frosty Lego minifig on a stick?

Cost is a very affordable $12.99 US. (Thirteen dollars in disguise)

Laser Machine Gun Toy brings the war to the playground

Lazer machine gun

And we’re sure antiwar groups are going to hate it. The Laser Machine Gun Toy is extremely realistic in it’s design and has enough whistles and lights and revolving bullet straps to give kids battle fatigue. But when it comes to playtime, that may not be a bad thing.
