One Small Brick for Man … one giant leap for minifig kind
Forty three years ago, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin walked on the moon and made history as the first humans to set foot on another celestial body. Some may think this as ancient history, and some (according to studies, 1 in 5) believed we didn’t land on the moon at all, but faked it (stupid). Toys worth a fortune if you have them …

When I moved from Texas to California, my entire collection of football and baseball cards was lost in transit. It drives me nuts if I take any time at all pondering just how much of my retirement was lost during that week, years back. But all is not lost. There may be a few classic toys in my son’s old toybox which I handed down which could be worth a bunch. I have to cross check against this list to see …

Scalextric ‘s new slot car sets are awesome

I still have fond memories of playing with slot cars as a kid. My brother and I even bought a set for my dad for Christmas one year. They’re the passion of people slightly older than me. But after Hot Wheels came out with Sizzler’s, I dove into them and never looked back. I wish I still had my slot car set, but if I did, I’d probably toss it in the trash for the new sets coming out by Scalextric.

There are several companies that are struggling with the age old quandry of “evolve or die.” Some, like Polaroid and Kodak, haven’t done too well at technological evolution, but others – like the Fisher Price Viewmaster may just have a leg up as it tries to appeal to tech saavy kids.

Kid uses a NERF gun to pull a bad tooth
I love it when kids conquer their fear by taking things into their own hands. This kid had a bad front tooth and needed to pull it. So he went for his NERF Big Bad Bow toy and did some pullin’!
