Oh man, my boy is going to be completely psyched! LEGO has releasing several assembly sets based on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! And look at the image above and tell me that those aren’t some of the coolest pizza loving minifigures you’ve ever seen? Leonardo, Michelangelo, Raphael, and Donatello. To celebrate the LEGO Movie which will be coming out in 2014, LEGO is having a really cool vehicle design contest. The contest has two versions, one for kids, and the other for teens and adults. Mars Curiosity LEGO Set Lands Goal on CUUSOO

It must have been the exciting Seven Minutes of Terror that the Mars Curiosity Lander underwent a few weeks ago to enter the Martian atmosphere and then be dangled from a complicated crane to touch down on the Red Planet. But a Mars Science Laboratory and Curiosity playset, designed by Stephen Pakbaz (Perijove) has reached the 10,000 vote plateau (half of which came within 24 hours of Curiosity’s landing, to boot) and will now be considered as it’s own set for sale on LEGO.com and the LEGO Store. Sweet!

That presents some great imaginative play as kids either build the game as directed, or make up their own “unexpected journey” around the board. So when LEGO announced that The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey was getting it’s own LEGO board game, it made plenty of sense, and looks like it’s lots of fun.

LEGO Collectible Minifigs Series 8 Revealed

I wish I could’ve found something non LEGO to get excited about at ComiCon. Maybe I’m just looking on the wrong part of the show room floor. Or maybe it’s because LEGO’s booth is so huge, it’s like a black hole pulling in people from all around. But since I haven’t really found much else to be excited about this year, I may as well go with these LEGO Collectible Minifigs Series 8 for today. But frankly, they’re ho-hum. Kinda been there, done that, have the T-Shirt.
